Our down & feather products are filled with either all-down or a mixture of down & feathers called ‘blends’.

Fill ‘blends’ combine down & feathers to make a resilient and luxurious product. These fills are determined by weight and are represented with the down content first. So, in a 25/75 fill, the number 25 indicates that the product contains 25% down clusters while the second number, 75, represents 75% feather content by weight.

When ordering down & feather products, keep in mind that down is a light, fluffy fill, which retains maximum warmth and volume. Feathers add to the firmness of the product and help to retain it’s shape. This means that a 70/30 blend will make a fluffier, warmer product, while a 25/75 will be a firmer, more resilient product.
Naturally, other factors such as type, age, and home climate of the fowl used, also have a significant impact on the quality of the fill. That is why we have our down blends quality tested regularly to ensure our consistent high standards are met. We want our products to be consistently good whichever you buy.
